According to The Athletic's C. Trent Rosecrans, there is mutual interest between the Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Diamondbacks involving a trade for Eugenio Suárez. The former Reds third baseman is arguably the hottest name available at this year's MLB trade deadline, and Cincinnati would certainly welcome Suárez back with open arms.
The Reds traded Suárez prior to the start of the 2022. He, along with former outfielder Jesse Winker, was shipped to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for a trade package that included Connor Phillips, Jake Fraley, and Brandon Williamson.
Suárez was then dealt to the D-backs prior to last season and is in the final year of the contract extension he originally signed with the Reds.
