Joey Votto says he can still dunk basketball at 36

Rest assured, Cincinnati Reds fans, that your favorite 36-year-old first baseman and future Reds Hall of Famer is still spry and athletic enough to dunk a basketball.

It was one of several assertions of interest to Reds fans from Joey Votto in an interview that the Toronto native did with The Athletic's Blake Murphy about Votto's love of basketball and the NBA's Raptors.

Votto also told Murphy that he's been a huge fan of the Raptors since Day 1; that baseball ultimately has "become a job" that he loves and for which he's thankful, but that basketball is the sport he "probably can view as the most fun"; and that they way the Reds' schedule lined up with the Raptors' playoff run was "like a dream come true.
