'It's special': Aristides Aquino playing Gold Glove-caliber defense despite slumps

It was one of those plays that seemingly left everybody in awe, teammates and opponents alike.

In the fifth inning Wednesday, Cincinnati Reds right fielder Aristides Aquino raced nine steps to his back left to chase a line drive off the bat from Alec Bohm. The 6-foot-4 Aquino reached out his left arm to make the running catch in front of the warning track.

The catch itself was a highlight, but that was just part one. Aquino took three steps to slow his momentum from a full sprint, spun his body back toward the infield and uncorked a rocket throw to first base to complete an inning-ending double play.
