'It was time': Luis Castillo snaps out of his losing streak as Reds beat Cardinals

ST. LOUIS – Yadier Molina has played in 2,055 career games throughout his 18-year career, so he’s seen it all.

When Molina fouled Luis Castillo’s 99-mph sinker in the sixth inning Friday, he looked at Castillo to say, "man, I'm late," and smiled. He had just whiffed on two straight sinkers and he finally made contact.

"If I try to throw the same pitch there, he’s going to be right on the pitch," Castillo said, according to team interpreter Jorge Merlos. "I’m not going to let that get into my head."

Before a full-count pitch, Molina called for time in the batter’s box twice.
