One of Tucker Barnhart’s favorite parts about spring training is talking shop with teammates, learning more about the pitchers he’ll be working with throughout the season.
David Bell is known as a player’s manager and he values the opportunity to chat with players. During his first two years with the Cincinnati Reds, it was common to see him chatting with someone in the hallways before they returned to the clubhouse or dining room.
Those conversations will still happen, but they’ll be a little harder to come by.
