ST. LOUIS -- After more than two months on the disabled list, Cincinnati Reds left-hander Brandon Finnegan was the picture of health for about three innings. Then he got hurt again.
Finnegan was pulled from Monday's game against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium with no outs in the bottom of the fourth. He'd thrown four pitches to leadoff batter Paul DeJong, the last of which went for ball three.
Catcher Devin Mesoraco immediately popped out of his crouch and approached the mound, and head athletic trainer Steve Baumann followed with manager Bryan Price. After some discussion during which Finnegan seemed to indicate a problem with his shoulder, the left-hander left the game.
