Hunter Greene, the Cincinnati Reds' first-round draft pick and the No. 2 selection overall, will head to Cincinnati to take a physical early next week, according to a source.
The 17-year-old Greene is one of two Reds draft picks from the first 10 rounds left unsigned. The two must agree to a deal by July 7, or Greene will be unable to sign and can't be drafted again for another three years.
Greene is expected to ask for the largest signing bonus of any player in this year's draft, which would in turn be the largest signing bonus of any player in draft history.
