LOS ANGELES -- Reds starting pitcher Amir Garrett was removed with no outs in the second inning after getting hit in the left hand by a line drive from the Dodgers' Austin Barnes on Friday night at Dodger Stadium.
The comebacker had an exit velocity of 102.8 mph, according to Statcast™, and hit the lefty Garrett on his pitching hand. He dropped to the ground as the ball deflected away and Barnes reached with a single.
After Garrett was attended to by team trainers and manager Bryan Price, he threw a few practice pitches but was removed from the game.
