The Cincinnati Reds need to find themselves in a hurry if they’re going to make 2025 a season truly any different than that of 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2011, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1994, 1993, 1992, or 1991, let alone 1990.
They’re struggling in the sense that this team is no longer given the honeymoon status of ‘rebuilding.’
This club, if we read back through the statements made by the owners and management in their decisions of the last handful of seasons, is supposed to be something by now.
