Cincinnati Reds rookie right-hander Chase Burns has flashed brilliance more often than not in his four starts at the Major League level so far in 2025. Aside from the blasting he took at the hands of the Boston Red Sox on a night when he was unknowingly tipping his pitches, he’s fired 15.2 IP across his other trio of starts and yielded jst 6 ER in that time.
He’s also fanned 25 against just 7 walks in that trio of starts, showing just how elite his ability to fool hitters truly is.
Burns starts again tonight for the Reds in Washington against the Nationals, and it will be his first start since back on July 11th as the Reds pushed him back about as far as possible after the built-in break around the All-Star Game.
