ST. LOUIS -- Brandon Finnegan was removed from Monday's game against the Cardinals in the fourth inning due to an apparent injury. He was activated from the 60-day disabled list prior to Monday's game.

The left-hander had thrown just three pitches to his first batter, Paul DeJong, in the fourth before exiting. He gave up three runs on three hits and four walks, throwing 58 pitches and striking out two. He had a tough couple of innings, including giving up a 413-foot home run to Jedd Gyorko in the first.
