The Bats got shellacked by the Toledo Mudhens on Monday, losing 11-2. Jon Moscot had a rare terrible start, surrendering 8 runs on 11 hits and 2 walks in 4.2 innings. Sometimes when you pitch to contact, they make hard contact I guess. The offense was rather quiet, managing just 2 extra-base hits on the night - doubles from Yorman Rodriguez and Hernan "The Conquistador" Irribarren.
The Bats beat the Mudhens on Tuesday, winning 4-3 Dylan "Ballad of a Thin Man" Axelrod gave up 3 runs in 5 innings on 6 hits and 3 walks, while striking out just 1 batter.
