GOODYEAR, Arizona – Eugenio Suárez, Mr. Good Vibes Only, is always one of the most cheerful players in the Cincinnati Reds clubhouse.
Now that the Reds are using him at shortstop and there’s a possibility that he could be an everyday starter at his longtime position, he can’t stop smiling. He even had a fresh haircut for his first spring training start at shortstop Tuesday.
Suárez joked that he feels like a baby with a new toy.
“I feel very happy right now,” Suárez said before Tuesday’s game. “I've been thinking about that for all my spring training so far.
