Dusty Baker won't return as Washington Nationals manager

Dusty Baker, the Washington Nationals' skipper the past two seasons who managed the Cincinnati Reds from 2008 to 2013, won't return next season as the team's manager, it announced Friday.

Last week, Baker's postseason woes continued with the Nationals' loss to the Chicago Cubs in the National League Division Series.

Teams managed by Baker have lost 10 consecutive postseason close-out games - a streak including the Reds' NLDS collapse against the San Francisco Giants in 2012 - an MLB record. It has been since 2003 when he was with the Chicago Cubs that Baker last won a postseason series.
