We don’t know what we don’t know. That simple statement should guide every public utterance about sports and the pandemic. Until further notice, any and all assumptions should be shelved. Two-plus-two doesn’t equal four.
Mike Moustakas and Nick Senzel did the right thing last Sunday morning. It was a courageous and selfless thing. Each reported COVID-like symptoms, despite passing all tests. Bravado is not the best option now, and that applies whether you play baseball, work an assembly line or balk at wearing a mask. When in doubt, don’t tough it out.
