Dissecting the 22-inning scoreless streak that ended the Cincinnati Reds' season

ATLANTA – There were a lot of similarities between the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves offenses during their two-game Wild Card Series.

Both teams stranded 17 runners on base in the two games. They both hit 1-for-14 with runners in scoring position. The Braves slightly out-hit the Reds, 15-13, but they had an equal number of walks (five).

The difference, of course, was the Braves found ways to score runs. The Reds did not and that's why they are sitting at home as the Braves prepare to play Miami in the National League Division Series.

"Everybody we saw in this series, it was something pretty special, really, both teams," Braves manager Brian Snitker said.
