LOUISVILLE, KY – Cody Reed started for Louisville on Tuesday afternoon and continued his command of International League batters giving the Triple-A affiliate a quality start, but eventually the Bats lost 3-2 to the Columbus Clippers.
The lone run he allowed came in the third inning. After a leadoff double, fly out, and then a hit batter, Reed surrendered a run-scoring single but got the next two batters out to end the threat, leaving runners stranded at first and second. After the run scored in the third inning, he retired seven batters in a row before he gave up back-to-back walks in the fifth.
