Cincinnati Reds TV, radio broadcast teams will call road games from home

When the Cincinnati Reds travel to Detroit for their first road series on July 31, they won’t have their TV or radio broadcasters with them.

One of the changes in the coronavirus era is remote road broadcasts. Reds radio broadcasters Tommy Thrall and Jeff Brantley will call all their games from their booth at Great American Ball Park because they’ll have additional TV feeds there. Fox Sports Ohio broadcasters Thom Brennaman and Chris Welsh are expected to call road games from the station’s studio.

Major League Baseball instructed all TV crews to remain at home for road games.
