Though his final start with the Cinccinnati Reds was a bit of a clunker yesterday, Tanner Roark still carried a good bit of trade value as a veteran pitcher with postseason experience. His ERA ballooned to over 4 after his rough outing against Pittsburgh yesterday, but that wasn’t enough to dissuade the Oakland A’s from pursuing him, and pursue him they did.
The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal has reported the Reds are trading Roark to Oakland today.
Roark, 32, was making $10 million in this, his final season under team control before reaching free agency.
