Cincinnati Reds: Three biggest reasons 2018 was a down year

Let’s rewind the clock, painful as it is Reds fans, to the beginning of the 2018 baseball season and see where everything went wrong. We won’t have to look too hard, as a 3-18 start to the season basically torpedoed any chances the Cincinnati Reds may have had this season.

This season was not the one Reds fans were hoping for. After 18 games, the Reds fired their manager. We saw changes in the front office, the pitching staff lit up on a regular basis, some questionable action (or lack thereof) at the trade deadline, and lots of other mistakes this year that led to the Reds fourth consecutive 90-plus loss season.
