LAS VEGAS – Jonathan India had a slow start to spring training with one hit in his first 15 at-bats, but he’s started to show more power this week.
India blasted a solo homer against Chicago Cubs reliever Rowan Wick in the sixth inning. He powered an outside pitch over the swimming pool beyond the wall in right-center field that’s listed at 380 feet from home plate. India added an RBI double down the left-field line in the seventh inning and a single to left in the ninth.
The Reds won 8-5 to open their two-game weekend series against the Chicago Cubs on Saturday at Las Vegas Ballpark.
