The Reds promoted Nick Krall to general manager Thursday. Krall is in his 16th season with the club. He was serving as vice president, assistant GM.
Dick Williams remains president of baseball operations, overseeing the baseball side of the franchise. Williams said as the Reds get deeper into the rebuild, more projects are being launched: The Reds added a new farm team in the Appalachian League, built a new facility in the Dominican Republic, and are re-entering Venezuela.
“It’s the same workload,” Williams said. “There’s a ton to do. We just want to do more going into this summer.
