GOODYEAR, Arizona – Maybe there will be some baseball played after all.
Cincinnati Reds pitcher David Carpenter sent a Tweet to teammate Trevor Bauer on Friday afternoon: “You think we could get some of the guys together at a random field in PHX and have a pickup baseball game, sandlot style?”
Bauer responded that he was interested. He later sent out his own Tweet: “To any MLB or MiLB players in AZ who want in on this sandlot game, please respond to this tweet.” He said he wanted to mic up all players and he was open to other suggestions.
