Cincinnati Reds pitching coach Derek Johnson says 'it's a little odd' facing his old team

Reds pitching coach Derek Johnson isn’t sure how much information he can provide on his former team, the Milwaukee Brewers, but he hopes it’s helpful.

Johnson spent the last three seasons as the Brewers’ pitching coach, guiding Milwaukee’s pitchers to the postseason last year before falling one game shy of the World Series. Former Brewers bullpen coach Lee Tunnell is also with the Reds.

“You do pick up tendencies of your own team, but I spent a lot of time just trying to figure out the Pirates or the Cubs or the Cardinals or the Reds or whoever,” Johnson said.
