Hitting coach Turner Ward will not be returning to the Cincinnati Reds for a second season, the team announced Tuesday.
The Reds hired Ward away from the National League champion Los Angeles Dodgers last November. He was the second coach hired onto David Bell's coaching staff. Ward had been the Dodgers' hitting coach for the previous three seasons.
Heading into the offseason, the Reds are putting a priority on aligning the organization throughout the big leagues and minor leagues.
