Hitting coach Turner Ward will not be returning the Reds for a second season, the team announced Tuesday.
The Reds hired Ward away from National League champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the offseason. He had been the Dodgers' hitting coach the previous three seasons.
The Reds finished 12th in the NL in runs, 12th in on-base percentage and 10th in slugging.
