Cincinnati Reds notes: Fans staying away with combination of bad team, bad weather

The Reds entered Wednesday with their first two-game winning streak of the season, but not many fans have seen it. In person, that is.

The combination of bad weather and baseball's worst won-lost record (3-18 entering the homestand) has kept Reds fans away from Great American Ball Park. An announced crowd of just 14,139 watched Tuesday night's 9-7 win over Atlanta, the second straight night of cool/damp weather. That actually was an improvement over Monday, when a season-low 9,463 watched the Reds rout Atlanta 10-4.
