CHICAGO – When Jesse Winker exited Sunday’s game against the Colorado Rockies with tightness on the side of his lower left back and underneath his right rib cage, there were concerns that it could require a stint on the injury list.
Winker woke up Monday and felt much better. He did a series of pre-game tests around 2:25 p.m. at Wrigley Field, playing catch, fielding grounders and catching fly balls over his head in all directions.
