When the inevitable question came about David Bell’s late grandfather, Gus, Bell’s voice broke a bit as he answered.
“I thought about that a lot, really throughout my whole career I thought about that,” Bell said. “I knew he was with me. Everything we talked about, the time we spent together, he was a big part of everything I did and was able to do.
“This is no different. I know how special it is. He would say go out and play a game at this point.
