Thursday's Cincinnati Reds-Milwaukee Brewers game was pretty much the polar opposite of Wednesday night's game.
Pitching and defense ruled. Offense, not so much. The teams combined for three runs and 12 hits after Wednesday's 25-run, 36-hit marathon.
One thing was the same. The Reds lost – this time 2-1 in 11 innings before a crowd of 13,403 at Great American Ball Park. So the Brewers took the series, 2 games to 1. The Reds have lost seven of eight.
The Brewers took the lead when Lorenzo Cain lined the first pitch Austin Brice threw into the left-field seats to start the 11th inning.
