Former Cincinnati Reds great Chris Sabo is out as the baseball coach at the University of Akron.
The school decided not to renew his contract.
Sabo was hired in 2018 as the first coach of the program that was eliminated in 2015.
Sabo and his staff built a program from scratch and the UA baseball community stepped up to help with donations. That included $1 million from alum and former player Bill Skeeles.
