Last winter, the Cincinnati Reds showed they were unafraid to make some big deals involving some of their top prospects. With the front office targeting 2020 as a season to make a run at the postseason and the Reds in need of help all over the diamond, Nick Krall and Dick Williams may have to dip into the farm system again. However, a few players should be off limits.
I know it’s difficult when Reds fans have endured six consecutive losing seasons to think that any unproven ball player deserves to be untouchable, but the front office can’t mortgage the future for just one season.
