Down to their final out against the Houston Astros on Wednesday, Nick Senzel and Jesse Winker hit back-to-back RBI singles to complete a dramatic 3-2 walk-off win at Great American Ball Park.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, José Peraza hit a ground-rule double against Astros closer Roberto Osuna. After Osuna struck out the next two batters, Senzel singled to left field. Peraza scored from second base, easily beating the throw home from left fielder Michael Brantley.
Winker drove in Senzel with a single on the next pitch and the party was on.
