Cincinnati Reds 'chirpy, ridiculous' against Cubs, per Chicago media's David Kaplan

MLB Network's Mark DeRosa spoke earlier this season about the Chicago Cubs' dugout chirping against the Cincinnati Reds. Fox Sports Ohio analyst Danny Graves agreed with Reds pitcher Tejay Antone's assessment Saturday that the Cubs "chirp on every pitch," and ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball crew addressed the topic during the Phillies-Braves game, with Buster Olney suggesting that the Cubs reminded him of a high school baseball or college softball team with the chants and cheers emerging from their dugout.

Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto (19) and Cincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez (7) argue with Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo (44) after a pitch thrown at Cincinnati Reds center fielder Shogo Akiyama (4) that cleared both benches in the fourth inning of the second game of the MLB double header between the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs at Great American Ball Park in downtown Cincinnati on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020.

But Chicago media personality David Kaplan insisted in a video he posted on Twitter that it was the Reds who were "whiny and chirpy" and "ridiculous" during their weekend series against the Cubs at Great American Ball Park.
