Cincinnati Reds: 5 players set to improve in the 2019 season

The Cincinnati Reds went 67-95 last season. After a 3-15 start, the club fired manager Bryan Price and promoted Jim Riggleman to lead the team through the rest of 2018 season. The slow start, combined with injuries to key players and poor pitching doomed the Reds to their 4th consecutive 90-plus season.

Thus far this offseason, the Reds made some changes. The team has a new manager, David Bell, who has assembled a very solid coaching staff. The front office ditched Homer Bailey’s giant contract while at the same time brought some pop to the Reds lineup with the additions of Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp.
