UPDATE: Carlos Beltrán will be named the New York Mets' new manager, according to multiple reports via Twitter.
Eduardo Pérez, a former Cincinnati Reds player and the son of former Big Red Machine great Tony, was one of two finalists - along with Beltrán - for the Mets' managerial vacancy, according to a report Friday via Twitter from MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.
Pérez currently works as an analyst for ESPN as well as MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM.
