MLB commissioner Rob Manfred on Pete Rose and the Cincinnati Reds Wochit
Some on Twitter and elsewhere who point out the hypocrisy of Major League Baseball embracing gambling while refusing reinstatement of Hit King and former Big Red Machine great Pete Rose for National Baseball Hall of Fame consideration are dismissed as "homers" because they're either from Cincinnati, a Reds fan or both.
So perhaps it's notable when similar talk of hypocrisy comes from another part of the country.
