The Reds had $13,658,400 to spend on their draft picks in the top 10 rounds this year, the second most of any team. Last year, they had the most money of any team and used that financial flexibility to push a first-round talent like Taylor Trammell to a sandwich-round pick by promising him an above-slot bonus.
