After Asher Wojciechowski’s first two starts at Triple-A Louisville, Bats pitching coach Jeff Fassaro started calling around, wondering just how the Reds were able to pick up the former first-round pick in late April.
That was one of many questions that floated around Wojciechowski’s head from March 28 to April 21.
“It was three weeks,” Wojciechowski said following the Reds’ 4-2 victory over the Cardinals on Monday. “It was literally the longest three weeks of my life, just wondering if anyone was going to call or if I was going to have to go play indy ball or if I was done.
