When the four-bus Cincinnati Reds caravan rolled up Joe Nuxhall Way on Thursday morning, the mission was the same as always: Sell the club to the far reaches of Reds Country.
The caravan covers 3,500 miles, going as far north as Columbus, Ohio, as far south as Nashville, as far east as Huntington, West Virginia, and as far west as Evansville, Indiana.
The Red have a lot to talk about at each stop. The club, after all, spent like never before on free agency. They added second baseman Mike Moustakas via a club-record four-year, $64 million deal, Japanese outfielder Shogo Akiyama to a three-year, $21 million deal and left-hander Wade Miley to a two-year, $15 million deal.
