Cincinnati Reds rookie left-hander Amir Garrett will be activated from the disabled list on Sunday, in time to start the series finale against the Atlanta Braves. Garrett was placed on the DL just 10 days ago with right hip inflammation.
Garrett’s return will bump right-hander Lisalverto Bonilla to the bullpen. The Reds will also have to make a roster move to clear room for Garrett, which in all likelihood will mean sending right-hander Jackson Stephens back to Triple-A. Stephens was called up as emergency long relief last week, although Reds manager Bryan Price said at the time he would have preferred to not bring Stephens up at that time.
