CINCINNATI - When Reds lefty reliever Manny Parra went on the disabled list April 29 because of a strained neck, it wasn't expected to be an extended absence. The move was retroactive five days, and Parra was eligible to return by May 9.
As of Sunday, Parra was still on the DL without a target date to return, in part because of a setback.
"I'm doing fine," Parra said. "I had a slight setback, but I'm trying to make progress. I'm good."
"He had a little bit of elbow tenderness that has been completely checked out.
