The 2022 NFL Draft’s Mr Irrelevant, the title given to the last player selected in the draft, has signed a five-year, $265 million contract extension with the 49ers. Brock Purdy’s new contract will include a $40 million signing bonus, includes $182.5 million guaranteed and will pay the quarterback an annual salary of $53 million.
So what does this mean for the Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow and the other quarterbacks? Nothing really. Burrow, Josh Allen, Jordan Love, and Trevor Lawrence all average $55 million per year, which is second behind Dak Prescott’s $60 million.
