Former Bengals and current Rams offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth and his wife, Melissa, spoke ahead of Super Bowl 56 about how much it meant for the 16-year NFL veteran to face his former team for a championship.
"It's really special to play in this game and to play against a (team) that means so much to me," Andrew Whitworth said, per The Enquirer's Kelsey Conway.
But that didn't keep Whitworth - who played 11 seasons for the Bengals before playing the past five with the Rams - from a little back-and-forth with top Bengals rusher Trey Hendrickson, featured in a video shared Friday by @NFLFilms:
Whitworth, 40, told NFL Network earlier this week that he plans to make a decision within the next week or two about whether to retire.
