Trae Waynes to make Bengals debut, Jessie Bates officially out

Just when the Bengals’ defense is rising, they get another boost.

Cornerback Trae Waynes, who signed a three year, $42 million deal with the team in the 2020 offseason but missed the entire year with a pectoral injury, will make his Bengals debut tomorrow, just in time for Joe Burrow’s first primetime game, a faceoff with Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

CB Trae Waynes (hamstring) was a full participant at today's walkthrough as he should make his Bengals debut tomorrow night in primetime.

Of course, the short week didn’t help the team when it comes to receiver Tee Higgins (shoulder) and safety Jessie Bates (neck), both of whom will miss the game.
