Dempsey, the head football coach for the last 20 seasons at Central Catholic, a 600-student high school in Toledo, is the last coach to beat Joe Burrow in a playoff game.
In 2014, Dempsey's Central Catholic squad beat the Burrow-led Athens Bulldogs in a 56-52 shootout in the Division III state championship game at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.
Since that loss, which Burrow called "the worst day of my life," Burrow has gone 5-0 in the playoffs.
