TDBH: Long-shots Adam Jones, Peerman make it eight Bengals in Pro Bowl

Cornerback Adam Jones, who misses two seasons because of a series of off-field problems, and running back Cedric Peerman, cut three times before finding a home in Cincinnati, complete improbable journeys today when they are named to the Pro Bowl. That makes eight Bengals headed to the NFL all-star game in Hawaii for the AFC North champions that tied a franchise-best with a 12-4 record. It’s the second most Pro Bowlers in club history behind only the nine of the legendary 1988 AFC champs.

Jones, a seventh alternate, replaces injured Patrick Peterson of Arizona after a season he makes a batch of memorable plays at age 32.
