Report: Cincinnati Bengals sign Adolphus Washington from Dallas Cowboys practice squad

Adolphus Washington is returning home.

According to a report by ProFootballTalk, the Bengals signed the Cincinnati native and former Taft High School star from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad Tuesday.

Washington, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound defensive tackle, was a third-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2016 after four seasons at Ohio State. The Bills released Washington earlier this month after he totaled 56 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 31 career games.

He was a Parade High School All-American in both basketball and football and a five-star football recruit according to 247Sports.

The addition bolsters interior defensive line depth after Bengals' defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow went down with a season-ending knee injury at Carolina on Sunday.
