A report last week from NYPost.com's Andrew Marchand indicated that New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees signed with NBC Sports and will be groomed as the potential Sunday Night Football replacement for former Cincinnati Bengals great Cris Collinsworth after Brees retires from the NFL.
Peter King said Monday morning in his Football Morning in America column that the deal with Brees wasn't done to push out Collinsworth.
