Joseph Ossai doubtful for Bengals' opener vs. Browns after suffering high ankle sprain

Bengals defensive end Joseph Ossai suffered a high ankle sprain in the final preseason game vs. the Washington Commanders, according to sources. Ossai injured his ankle in the first quarter of Saturday night's game and didn't return. He underwent further evaluation on Sunday and the tests revealed his high ankle sprain.

The Bengals third-round draft pick in 2021 is now doubtful to play Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns.

High ankle sprains can be difficult to recover from. They can range from mild to severe and depending on the severity of his sprain, it could take weeks.
